Provide world class digestive health educational programming, professional developm
The Johns Hopkins Hospital is holding our eighth annual Hopkins International Therapeutic Endoscopy Course (HITEC) conference, a two-day live course highlighting the field of advanced therapeutic endoscopy, on September 5th & 6th, 2024. As in years past, we are including two days of education tailored specifically to our endoscopy nursing colleagues.
Due to the rise in innovative procedures, endoscopy units require regular introduction and practice to new therapeutic and diagnostic equipment and supplies. Maintaining competencies with new technologies can be challenging for the entire unit. The HITEC Nursing Track will enable registrants to develop and maintain competency in the ever-changing field of endoscopy and will illustrate an array of emerging therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
The HITEC Nursing Track will take place on Thursday, September 5th, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, main Baltimore Campus, for a full day of hands-on stations & education. RNs can access the course lectures and live endoscopy virtually. We will have SGNA presidents, Catherine Bauer & Eileen Dauz, as guest speakers!
For RNs to receive the full CME/CEU credits (12.5) being offered with this course, they must continue onto day two (Friday, September 6th) to the HITEC Main Lectures and Live Demonstrations.
